Sorry that this notice is a little late, but you are invited to the CLS of Minnesota Annual meeting on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from Noon to 1:30 P.M. This year we are trying a new location. We will be at the Little Venetian Restaurant located at 2900 Rice St # 240, Little Canada, MN 55113. We have a semi-private room and are planning on approximately 20 in attendance. Please email a reply if you are planning on attending so I can get an idea if we need more tables set up. We will order lunch from the menu (on your own) and hear about what CLS of Minnesota has been doing over the past year as well as plans for the future. We will hear about Twin Cities Christian Legal Aid, the National CLS conference, North Star Law and Policy Center and Minnesota Family Council. We will elect your board of directors. If you or anyone you know would like to serve on the Board, let me know.

CLS of Minnesota is extending an invitation and request for you and any guest to attend the very first Twin Cities Christian Legal Aid fundraising banquet on November 3, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Pinstripes in Edina. TCCLA is a companion organization to CLS of Minnesota and really needs our support at this time to be able to continue to serve the poor and homeless in the Twin Cities. National at the Green Mill Restaurant at the Rosedale Shopping Center,

Law students especially are encouraged to attend for a rare opportunity for
getting to know Mike up close and gain the benefit of his career of writing

Everyone is invited to the annual Fall Law Student/Lawyer Social on Monday evening, October 26, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Axel’s Bonfire Grill located at 850 Grand Avenue in St. Paul. Come, invite a friend and meet lawyers and law students who are seeking to live out their faith in the law, whether as a student or a practicing attorney. The room is reserved from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. under CLS of Minnesota and my first name. The meeting will be in the “community room” at the back of the small restaurant/café. No outside food is allowed. They have breakfast sandwiches, eggs, etc. that you are free to order on your own. There is a Starbucks coffee shop within the restaurant as well. Ordering food is optional, and there is no cost to just attend. Use of the room is free.
Recent St. Thomas Law grad Tim LaCroix will lead us in a devotion, but there is no set program after that. This will be a time to connect with other lawyers and law students for some fellowship and encouragement.

Review of Supreme Court Religious Liberty Cases
The Christian Legal Societyof Minnesota is pleased to present a review of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent cases on the First Amendment and religious liberty, and practical tips for lawyers dealing with religious liberty issues at the local level. Professors Collett and Berg, from the University of St. Thomas Law School, bring many years of experience as lawyers, litigators, and professors on this important subject.
